Time to write your new story

2020 is no more, most of us would want to just forget it and rather wish it had never happened.

Time to start a fresh story in 2021. Let’s imagine that 2021 is a reset button, a chance to start again.

A chance to write a new story with new chapters in your life’s story, become the author of your life.

To write a new story we need a title, well I’m a big star wars fan so let’s call the book 2021 A New Beginning.

Every page is blank in our new book , and let’s imagine the ink is our thoughts. Your thoughts will edit this story.

Each page is decided on by you, not by what happens to you, but by you from the inside.

Each chapter title is a thought, each page is written through your thoughts, each illustration is an image in your mind created by your thinking.

2021 is the time you rewrite your story. Make sure that every page is sprinkled with gratitude, love and kindness and you have the perfect recipe for a great story.

Keeping positive.

Staying positive is one of the strongest things you can do during these challenging times, but my god it’s hard.

It’s hard to stay positive when you are bombarded with a constant stream of contradictive media.

We have Doctors openly telling us that it would be far better for our health both mentally and physically for us to not to lock down and instead learn to live with the virus, this makes me feel confident and a little bit more relaxed because a professional doctor is telling me that is good advice.

But then on the next post we have the complete opposite message, telling us to stay inside, tighten up on the lockdown and wear a mask, well one of them must be wrong but who the hell do you trust.

For every pro wearing mask post there is an anti mask wearing post, the same is true for everything connected to the pandemic.

Everything is coming with a warning of mental health problems, it’s like we are being conditioned to become mentally ill. And to top it all off we have the groups that just are in complete denial using new words like sheeple and woke this and that. I had never even heard of the word woke before Covid arrived.

The simple fact is no one is focusing on mental GOOD HEALTH it’s all about how we are going to get mentally ill and we are buying it, instead of focusing on how to stay well.

We can not control the uncontrollables in our lives, so stop trying. You may not be able to control things but you can control how you deal with things. You can chose to be positive or negative, both are just really thoughts in the moment in which you can chose to follow or not. You can control what you feed yourself with, you can chose who to follow and what to follow . You will become influenced by what you chose to follow. The more negative stuff you follow the more negative you will become just as the more positive stuff you chose to follow the more positive you will become.

Focus on good mental health, take a break from watching the news , checking in on social media, take a rest from all things media orientated, with it’s constant misleading and fake headlines, guess what! the headlines are created to sell sell and sell.

No headlines are not created to make you feel good because that no longer sells.

Try this.

Perform one random act of kindness a day.

Call someone who you owe a thank you.

Ring someone you haven’t spoke to for ages.

Go for a walk in any weather.

Say good morning to as many people as you can.

Keep a journal write something positive every day before you get up.

Start rewiring your brain and change your state of mind, it’s free and gets easier the more you do it.

Being grateful is a powerful emotion , you can even make it up it doesn’t matter, being grateful promotes positivity and a good mindset to good mental health when done daily.

Be grateful for what you have not what you can’t have.
